Meet Dr. Cory McKiel, our optometrist and owner at Ham’s Superior Vision Centre!
Dr. McKiel graduated from the University of Waterloo in 2003 and is passionate about leveraging eye care technology to safeguard his patients’ vision. He believes in the importance of early detection and proactive care. He’ll tell you that preventative eye care offers a unique opportunity to detect issues early and prevent problems before they worsen, rather than waiting until trouble develops to take action.
Dr. McKiel’s areas of particular interest include cardiovascular disease (signs of which can be detected in your eye exam), dry eye, and glaucoma. In addition to his commitment to clinical excellence, Dr. McKiel has a keen eye for style and enjoys discovering beautiful independent eyewear to complement his patients’ lifestyles. Patients find him conscientious and genuine during their appointments.
When he’s not with patients or scouring the globe for great frames with his team, you might find Dr. McKiel out Musky hunting (he has the photos to prove it!).
