What Happens in a Contact Lens Exam?

A contact lens exam includes everything in a regular eye exam, plus a closer look at your eye health and how well lenses will work for you. We use the Antares corneal topographer to map your cornea for a precise and comfortable fit, as well as to monitor your eye health over time.

Contact lens prescriptions are different from glasses prescriptions, so even if you wear glasses, you’ll need a separate assessment to get started.

Your Contact Lens Fitting

Once we’ve determined that your eyes are healthy for contact lens wear, we’ll try different lenses to assess comfort, clarity, and fit. You’ll get to test the lenses in your own eyes and practice inserting and removing them safely.

Fittings are available for both first-time and long-time wearers. We take the time to make sure your lenses are the right match for your vision, your corneas, and your routine.

Contact Lens Hygiene & Eye Health

Wearing contacts is easy once you get the hang of it, but proper hygiene is key to keeping your eyes healthy. We’ll guide you through the process of cleaning, storing, and caring for your lenses to prevent complications such as eye infections or irritation.
